Job description
Our client, a non-profit organisation who pride themselves on their company values and services, have an exciting new position for an experienced, energetic and dynamic individual to join their team. This will be on a full time, permanent basis from their offices in Tewkesbury.
As Business Development Manager you will lead the internal Sales and Consumer department in growing revenue and awareness as well as developing new and existing business steams and partnerships. With responsibility for developing new & existing business streams and partnerships, and lead generation, you will engage confidently with stakeholders, including visits when required.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled manager who has experience of driving a successful and high performing team. You will bring with you confidence in strategy development, business planning and KPI setting. You must have a customer centric approach and be able to provide hands on support to aid customer relationship management within your team.
Responsibilities:
-Lead and manage the sales and consumer team
-Attend team and management meetings to ensure delivery of performance, targets and standards of service
-Contribute to business planning and budgeting, planning new ideas and initiatives based on business plan KPIs
-Operate as part of the management team and as an ambassador for the brand
-Support Marketing, L&D and other sales activities
-To be proactive in organising the department, maximising the quality of service and productivity
-Discuss and plan new ideas and initiatives with team members based on Business Plan and KPIs
-To undertake administrative tasks supporting all areas of the business feeding into Management reports
-To prioritise individual and team workload according to business needs
-To be a point of escalation/resolution for problematic and/or high-priority stakeholder queries
-Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career
development planning and opportunities
-Manage and retain current external partnerships and opportunities for professional relationships
Candidate Attributes:
-Experience in development and delivery of business plans for multiple income streams
-Leadership skills with an ability to motivate teams to achieve targets
-Able to quickly develop a knowledge operating policies and procedures
-Ability to identify a business opportunity and implement innovate solutions
-Strong communication skills to confidently present and communicate with senior managers and
stakeholders
-Computer literate (MS Office) with an ability to quickly understand the CRM
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week
