Audit & Accounts Senior

Circa £36,000 - £42,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a highly regarded and very well-established firm of chartered accountants in the Bury St Edmunds area who are looking to add an Audit & Accounts Senior to their team.
Working as an Audit & Accounts Senior, the successful person will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors.
The role involves leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a broad array of clients including stand-alone limited companies and group structured entities among others. You will take a lead role on each assignment you are involved with, having responsibility for the supervision of junior staff.
Whilst the role will be focused towards the completion of audit work, the successful person will also have involvement with the preparation and review of year-end accounts and corporation tax compliance work.
You will be client facing and will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the latter stages of their studies and will have recent experience of leading audit assignments.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Leading audit assignments
Completion of audit planning
Liaison with clients on organisation of the work and work requirements, and being part of the client relationship team
Oversee and manage the on the job audit team on a job by job basis
Review audit teams work
Deal with completion section of audit
Report to manager and partner
Oversee and review some accounts preparation assignments
Be involved in other ad hoc advisory and support assignments for clients
Skills:
ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
Experience of leading Audit assignments
