Job description
Insurance giants based all across the UK/Globe are ready to welcome their next DevOps Engineer to their team as they look to expand again.
This is an interesting and varied role, using a wide range of modern technologies, combining strategic work with short-term tactical fixes and improvements. You will build upon our DevOps culture across the incredible Product and Engineering organisation, sharing modern practices and always challenging the status quo.
This Engineer will be Working with engineering teams to maintain and improve the existing continuous integration and deployment pipelines, optimising and upgrading build systems on an ongoing basis. For this role we will be looking for someone with strong Azure skills as well as experience within Terraform, AKS and .Net environments.
We’re seeking an Engineer that is able to demonstrate skills/knowledge such as;
Experience administering CI systems, creating build configurations and pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps (VSTS/TFS), TeamCity, NuGet, MSBuild
Experience administering version control systems such as Git (Azure DevOps) or SVN
Familiarity with Microsoft .NET development environment, Visual Studio
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell)
Experience of cloud technologies (primarily Azure), in areas such as networking, storage, integration, compute and analytics
Experience of Windows & Linux containers and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong problem-solving skills, including providing simple solutions to complex situations
The successful candidate will earn up to £90,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: 10% bonus, great pension, medical cover, strong nature of up-skilling and numerous soft leisurely benefits. The team works on a hybrid basis, with 2 days a week on-site in their Surrey office.
