Our client has seen rapid growth over the past 12 months. They are based in Southampton and do require travel to their offices.
Job Description
As the Part Qualified Accountant, you will be responsible:
- Monthly preparation (distribution of central costs, accruals, prepayments, P&L variance analysis) of Management Accounts
- Monthly reconciliations of relevant balance sheet accounts
- Preparation of required monthly board pack commentaries for review by the Management Accountant
- Business Partner Heads of Department and provide any support/information required
- Preparation for quarterly re forecasting and annual budgets in line with agreed approach
- Assist in preparation of year end statutory accounts
- Streamline daily/monthly tasks where possible to aid more value added activities
- Support where required for Management Accountant
The Successful Applicant
To be successful for the Part Qualified Accountant position, you must:
- Part qualified ACCA/CIMA
- Proven experience in month end reporting processes and financial planning
- Ability to understand detailed financial information to build and maintain personal credibility to work and communicate with non financial colleagues at all levels
- Analytical skills with an aptitude and willingness to get into the detail
- Team player and proven communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Excel supported by generally high levels of IT literacy
