Teaching Electrical installation to level 3 learners
Teaching Hours Per Week 24
FULL TIME: Paid for 37 hours a week at £35 pound per hour
Ongoing role for the rest of the academic year at an FE college on Merseyside
Key Responsibilities:
- The role would involve Delivering core and science to level 3 students and apprentices.
- Plan and deliver high-quality teaching sessions, covering a range of electrical installation topics, to students of varying abilities.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, ensuring they meet industry standards and promote a comprehensive learning experience.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress, using a variety of assessment methods to gauge their understanding and skill development.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, fostering positive student engagement and promoting their personal and professional growth.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and prepares students for the evolving field of electrical installations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to enhance the learning experience through guest lectures, industry placements, and relevant projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognised electrical installation qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365, 18th edition) or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in the electrical industry, with a strong understanding of current practices, regulations, and technologies.
- Teaching or training experience in an educational or vocational setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, coupled with strong organisational skills, to effectively manage teaching responsibilities and administrative tasks.
- A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed). Or willing to work towards
