Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme Managers to join our clients dynamic team.
The successful candidate/s will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing complex defence engineering projects from initiation to completion. As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting the highest quality standards.
- To ensure, at all times, that the good of the project is at the forefront of your daily activity and that any issues are diagnosed and dealt with in a prompt and effective manner.
- High Level Summary
- Full life cycle programme management responsibility of projects for UK, Crawley based customer
- Contact person at customer side – embedded with the customer for current and future projects - in the areas of (not limitied to)
- Managing a labour budget of up to:
- c2Mil and/or change budget of c£800k
- and/or c£2Mil spares/repairs and change projects
- and/or Design Development budget c20Mil
- Managing third party suppliers for design and delivery of sub-systems
- Schedule preparation
- Configuration management
- Regular participation and reporting on project/s for requirements, Risks, Opportunities, Costs, Dates
- Responsible for issue tracking and management
- Ensure compliance to customer, industry and legal requirements
- Pro-active Programme Management and Team leadership of multi-disciplined engineering team
- Interfacing and reporting to Senior Management
- Change management monitoring and control
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Programme Manager in the Defence Engineering industry.
- Strong understanding of defence engineering processes, regulations, and standards.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- PMP or PgMP certification is desirable.
- Proven experience of managing a multi-disciplinary engineering team based across multiple sites and countries
