Job description

We are delighted to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Lead Teacher of Science to join our high achieving, successful and dedicated team on a permanent basis from September 2024.

The specific responsibilities will be agreed with the successful applicant, but it will be for one of the following areas:

The successful applicant will be expected to teach across KS3 to KS5 and work closely with the Head of Science to develop the attainment and educational provision within Science. Currently there’s a team of 12 within the science department, including the Head of Science, Lead Teacher and two Science Technicians. The role will also require working collaboratively with Science colleagues across Trust on a range of projects, including Curriculum Convergence. This post is in addition to the existing team.

We expect the successful applicant to demonstrate a clear understanding of how to deliver the Science curriculum and raise the standards and achievement of our students. The ability to consistently teach inspirational lessons will be supported by our fit for purpose facilities and resources and excellent training and development opportunities on offer.
