HR Advisor
Location: Hybrid working- 2 days in office 3 days working from home
Report: To HR Manager
Hours: 35 hours per week
Annual Leave: 25 days per annum plus 12 statutory days
Pension: Group Pension Scheme
Duration: Permanent (subject to funding)
Probation: 6 months
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Job Purpose
- To assist the HR Manager in delivering comprehensive Human Resource services to VIable, Include Youth, VOYPIC and other VIable clients.
- To deliver timely HR solutions, advice and provide an effective customer focused support service to all VIable clients.
- Work closely with the staff teams in VIable client organisations.
- Seek at all times to be effective and efficient and to enhance the quality of the service which the HR team gives to all its clients, thereby assisting them to provide a high quality of service.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
HR Advice
- To support the HR Manager to deliver an effective and customer orientated HR service.
- To provide professional and timely HR solutions, advice and support to Include Youth, VOYPIC and VIable clients.
- To provide proactive specialist HR advice and support to managers in the application of core HR policies and procedures, terms and conditions, employment law and HR best practice.
- Provide advice and guidance to management and employees, through all aspects of the employee life cycle to include absence management, investigations, discipline, grievance, capability, in accordance with the consistent application of the organisation policies and procedures and compliance with employment law and best practice.
Recruitment
- Manage and participate in recruitment and selection exercises for clients including developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates.
- Provide professional advice on all matters of recruitment and selection processes including compliance with pre-employment legislation for the appointment of all new staff, i.e. eligibility to work in the UK, etc.
- Provide an ongoing quality assurance function for documentation within the HR function including, recruitment and selection paperwork and contracts.
Employee Relations
- Supporting clients with investigations, disciplinaries hearings, grievance hearings, appeals, both advising and taking part – up to and including dismissal.
- Supporting clients with managing performance and absence issues
