Network Engineer
Our client based in Manchester is currently looking for an experienced Network Engineer. You will be a key player in our client's organisation, tasked with designing, implementing, and supporting network security solutions for clients. This role is crucial inoffering expert advice and tailoring solutions to meet client Network and security needs. Emphasizing risk management, incident response, and compliance, the Engineer enhances the overall security posture of clients' networks.
Expectations:
We seek a highly skilled Network Engineer responsible for implementation, and support of networking security and firewalls. The ideal candidate must excel in technologies like Cisco, Meraki, Dell Networking, VMware NSX, Citrix Netscaler, and possess knowledge in risk management, security incident management, and compliance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation and Configuration: Hands-on implementation of network security solutions, including firewalls and VPNs. Ensure seamless integration with the client's infrastructure, deploying robust security measures.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support for deployed security solutions, monitor network traffic, analyse security logs, and respond to incidents. Troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades and enhance security controls.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Understand risk management principles, and advise clients on risk mitigation, security policies, and compliance. Conduct risk assessments, identify security gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation and configuration of networking security and firewall solutions.
- Ongoing support and troubleshooting of network security infrastructure.
- Advising clients on risk management, security incidents, and compliance.
- Collaborating for seamless integration of network security solutions.
- Participating in training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Skills & Experience:
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, Dell Networking, VMware NSX, Citrix Netscaler, and other leading network technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Preferred certifications: CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CCNA networking, CCNA CyberOps.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing network security solutions.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, managing security incidents, and ensuring compliance.
