Graduate/Trainee Management Accountant

£25,000pa

Hybrid/Kings Hill, Kent

Commercial Services Group are looking for a self-driven and proactive individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join their growing team.

This is a developmental role with the expectation that the successful candidate will progress their technical and professional skills whilst studying towards a professional qualification in line with an established succession plan. Ongoing study support and on-the-job training will be provided to allow the Graduate/Trainee Management Accountant to take on additional responsibilities to increase their skillset and develop their career.

Key duties -

• Assist the Senior Management Account with budget setting, re-forecasting and ad-hoc projects
• Provide additional support to a variety of stakeholders within the wider team during quieter periods
• Aiding in production of Management accounts, including reconciliations and variance analysis
• Support the division's analysis of overhead cost control
• Keep processes and procedures up to date and ensure any process improvements are correctly documented
• Maintain audit file evidence and monthly spreadsheet models

What we need from you -

• Successfully completed AAT Level 3 or equivalent, or have begun an accountancy qualification (eg ACCA, CIMA etc.)
• Transactional experience within a finance team, particularly sales/purchase ledger, invoice/cash processing and journal input
• A willingness to keep learning and developing
• Strong grasp of accounting basics and Financial Statements
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and use of Pivot Tables and lookups
