Job Description
You will be the subject matter expert for our business regarding GDP compliance and all topics relating to our healthcare proposition. You will advise on what services we can provide under the terms of our licence.
Supporting operations, business development, sales and other relevant network departments in providing insight into the healthcare industry and exploring new opportunities for growth.
You will be responsible for the direction and content of the GDP training and in some cases deliver this to senior managers within the business.
Key responsibilities include;
- Being named as the Responsible Person on our WDA licences
- Managing authorised activities to ensure operations do not compromise the quality of the medicines and can demonstrate compliance with GDP
- Being fully responsible for the management of the DPD Healthcare QMS
- Ownership of the CAPA system for DPD healthcare to address deviations
- Creating, influencing and delivering GDP training to the business
- Maintaining training records for self and others and ensure training is periodically assessed
- Ensuring appropriate standards of GDP are maintained for licensed Premises
- Maintaining records for the repair, maintenance, calibration and validation of equipment
- Ensuring storage areas are temperature mapped, qualified and validated
- Carrying out investigations relating to healthcare compliance
- Ensuring customer complaints are dealt with effectively and quality/product defects are reported
- Conducting self inspections at appropriate regular intervals
- Preparing the business for and host audits by external agencies
- Point of contact for sales and account management teams
- Communicating effectively on healthcare issues to all levels in the organisation
- Driving compliance with healthcare processes in the business
- Carry out other duties as may be reasonably requested by department management
Qualifications
What we’re looking for;
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience in an auditing role ideally relating to the distribution of medicinal products and in maintaining a quality management system. You will have experience in dealing with governing bodies such as the MHRA,VMD and GPhC and an understanding of their audit processes and requirements.
Ideally you will have previously held the role of Responsible Person and hold the Gold Standard Responsible Person Training Certification.
We would also expect;
- Good PC Skills – Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote
- Must be self-motivated and a highly driven individual with robust problem-solving techniques
- Ability to produce precise reports and procedures
- Effective communicator - preparing and delivering own presentations
- Be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
