Commercial Manager - Nottingham City Centre - Nottingham Playhouse - £34,000 - £36,000
Blusource have partnered with Nottingham Playhouse to appoint their new Commercial Manager.
As the new Commercial Manager, you will focus on driving ancillary sales such as bar sales and venue hire as well as working to improve the customers journey while maximising opportunities to highlight the Playhouse's further offerings.
It will be your responsibility to keep your finger on the pulse of new trends as well as conduct market research at other venues.
To be successful in this position you will need to show a proven track record of increasing revenue, be an excellent communicator, highly numerate to support with business plans and budgeting and have a willingness to work some evenings and weekends (with time given off in lieu)
The role is based primarily at the Playhouse's Nottingham City Centre site but will require some travel but can also allow some flexible working.
Purpose of post:
We're seeking a hard-working person with an entrepreneurial approach, excellent numeracy and great people skills to revolutionise our commercial operation. The purpose is to maximise earned income from secondary activity - hires, bars, merchandise, sweets and events in particular identifying new users in the busy Playhouse building and its' potentially expanding portfolio.
* To identify new income streams and expand and consolidate existing income streams.
* To maximise secondary income including developing business opportunities from hires including performance, corporate and rehearsal room hires, use of our 120 seat Djanogly Playground, restaurant pop ups and others as the portfolio expands
* To support the Bars Manager and team to maximise profitability from all areas
* To support the Duty Managers to maximise income streams
* To maximise the value of all corporate relationships including from business partners
