Job description
We are looking to appoint a General Teaching Assistant for 37 hours per week, on a term time only basis to join our team at The Compass Academy on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
The Compass Academy is an Alternative Provision Academy that supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and/or identified special educational needs. Due to increasing cohort numbers, the Academy is seeking the role of a General Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support and intervention within the classroom for a child with an EHCP.
This role will work with Teachers to supportteaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups of pupilsunder the direction of teaching staff, and may be responsible for some learningactivities within the overall teaching plan with access to support and guidanceas required.

Line Manager: Vice Principal/SENCo
Travel Required: No (But desirable)
