Title: Join a Private Credit Firm as Fund Accountant in London
Introductory Paragraph:
Do you have 3-5 years of experience as a fund accountant with knowledge on IFRS, LUX GAAP and US GAAP? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of the leading private credit firms in London. Our client is seeking a highly motivated candidate who can thrive in their fast-paced environment whilst directly working under the head of fund accounting.
Responsibilities: As the Fund Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Perform day-to-day fund accounting activities for private credit funds, including NAV calculations, financial reporting, and investor communications
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards such as IFRS, LUX GAAP & USGAAP
- Monitor fund expenses, fee calculations, and performance metrics to support investment decision-making and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate fund transactions, including capital calls, distributions, and deal funding.
- Prepare computations and calculations supporting the Funds (such as equalisation, management fees, drawdowns, IRRs, performance measurement, currency hedge exposure, tax and Intragroup financing).
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
- A degree (or equivalent) within Finance or Accounting discipline.
- At least three - five years' relevant post qualification work experience preferably from Hedge Funds/Private Equity Firms/Leveraged finance houses
- Knowledgeable about audit requirements under IFRS, Lux GAAP, US GAAP, and other additional GAAP
- Strong proficiency in databases, including Excel
