Job description
- Minimum of 4 years of total media planning experience, with at least one year of experience supervising their direct work and training/coaching junior team members
- Full-service agency experience preferred, but not required
- Have acted as a principal member of a full-campaign media planning process, from strategy development and tactical planning to activation and post-campaign reporting
- Experience developing target audiences, based on client and strategic objectives, based in audience planning tools insights
- Experience planning and strategizing brand building and multi-channel media campaigns, that are founded in rich audience insights, that include::
- Site-direct partnerships, programmatic, paid social and other biddable media placements, digital video
- Specific Skills required:
- Usage of planning tools (or other related products): MRI-Simmons/Scarborough, Kantar Advertising Insights (Vivvix), Pathmatics, Claritas 360, Reach/Frequency tools, SQAD, comScore, eMarketer - Insider Intelligence, Helixa
- Proficiency with V-Lookups & Pivot Tables

GSD&M may be searching for a Media Supervisor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate leads with audience-first thinking, bolstered by a digital mindset. The role reports into a Media Director, but is responsible for managing the client relationship and strategic development of media plan recommendations.
What this role involves:
- Multi-tasking smoothly to manage and delegate team projects - responsibilities include reporting to multiple teams and management
- Managing day-to-day tasks of the Media Planning team junior members, ensuring deadlines are met and projects are prioritized. Additionally, training and coaching junior team members on essential planning and audience development skills.
- Assisting the development of audience strategies based on client objectives and KPIs
- Assisting in the development of media strategies and approaches, as well as translating those strategies into actionable tactics with channel experts
- Ability to effectively communicate a multi-channel media strategy to relevant stakeholders and clients who may or may not have media marketing expertise
- Compelling and confident presentation skills - both in writing and delivering the presentation – and well versed in the art of storytelling when putting together recommendations
- Ability to condense complex ideas into comprehensible pieces, think critically, analyze performance and opportunities, and look for unconventional solutions
- Acting as the campaign reporting lead, developing learning agendas and post-campaign reporting
- Proactive and confident in finding ways to bring to life new technologies to educate clients and the agency
