Summary of role: We are looking for a content editor for the must-read source for news, insights, and analysis for everything fintech.
You will be highly organised and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. You will have strong writing skills and a knack for digital marketing.
This role is hybrid, based in Leeds, UK. You will work in our office three days per week, including Mondays. Responsibilities:
- Plan and produce engaging content for various platforms (including website updates, social media posts, email marketing, original reports/whitepapers, and event materials).
- Measure the success of campaigns and use what you have learned to influence future content.
- Produce and publish daily content for FinTech Intel : curate content from press releases, secure exclusives from relevant parties, and conduct one-to-one interviews with sector experts.
- Market and promote FinTech Intel events and conferences.
- Assist in preparing for events and conferences, including designing judging criteria, writing scripts, and curating judging panels and speakers.
- Curate, edit and distribute weekly newsletters packed with exclusives and relevant insights.
- Build strong relationships with relevant partners and stay on top of emerging trends in the fintech sector to establish FinTech Intel as a leader in the field.
Desired skills and experience: Required: - A minimum of two years' experience in journalism or marketing, with a strong portfolio of published work.
- Interest in, and understanding of, fintech including blockchain and funding, with a willingness to learn more.
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally to attend key events.
Desirable: - Understanding of SEO when producing online content
- Experience of WordPress, Canva, and MailChimp
- Able to use Apple/MacBook Pro
- Experience in using analytics to spot trends and benchmark engagement
