Homeless Intervention & Prevention Team Leader ~
We are working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Croydon who are looking to appoint an experienced Housing Team Leader to join their Homeless Intervention & Prevention Team.
This will be a full time (37hrs pw), hybrid position working minimum of 2 days in the office which is based in Croydon, (though for the right candidate there may be some flexibility in this).
Rate of Pay - £23 - £30 per hour (negotiable on experience - Please state your desired rate)
Contract - 6 months with a view to extended into a permanent position.
Location – BR3. (Hybrid - office 2 days per week as a minimum)
Main duties will include the following:
Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of Homeless Intervention and Prevention services with a focus on homelessness prevention by actively leading and contributing to continuous improvement.
Act up for the Homelessness Intervention and Prevention Manager in their absence and to deputise in attending meetings and undertaking specific project work.
Providing guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to ensure effective and efficient cross-team work to deliver performance targets and service objectives.
Implement operational service plans, including delivery of our transformation principles of establishing early upstream homelessness prevention, driving continuous service improvement and delivery of projects.
Ensure all expenditure on temporary accommodation is carefully considered before any placement.
Take responsibility for financial efficiency for Homeless Prevention Grant.
Experience/Knowledge Needed:
Local Authority / Public Sector.
Homeless Reduction Act 2017.
Landlord & Tenant Legislation, the Housing Act 1985, and the Protection from Eviction Act 1977.
Expert knowledge of the legislation and duties owed to homeless persons by the Council under Part V1 and Part V11 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002 & Localism Act 2011.
