Job Title: Developing Project Engineer

The Client: Category market leader in manufacturing

Job Location: Greater Manchester area, good road access to Lancs, Manchester and West Yorks

Job Reward: £402- 48k target plus package

Factory/Plant working environment - complex FMCG

This could suit post graduates continuining the development of their skills as well as apprentice trained craft engineers that have an appetite to develop further in project engineering life cycle

Our client is a category leader in FMCG Manufacturing, committed to Manufacturing Excellence. Working through both innovation and investment, their product range is second to none! Business potential is excellent, creating the need for a Site Project Engineer to work at a prestigious manufacturing facility in Greater Manchester

-You will be a vital source of technical project engineering expertise, working with and alongside more experienced projects engineers with full support and development plan

-You will find new ways of working to improve service, safety, and efficiency in the factory/plant. There are a variety of processes to lead and improve to challenge you, every day!

-Your manufacturing factory-based role is responsible for assiting in the managing the planning and implementation of capital and revenue projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget!

-You will cover suppliers’ selection financial control and customer acceptance. You will own factory equipment including packaging, processing, and utilities

-Reporting directly into the Engineering Manager, you will have complete autonomy to deliver pragmatic, value engineered projects to cost and time specification

-You will be coached, mentored and developed within multi-functional teams of engineers and designers / contractors to ensure successful delivery of projects

-The projects will cover factory equipment including packaging, processing, and site activities

-You will lbe equipment installation and start up, supplier selection, URS – User Requirement Specifications , feasibility and justification analysis, equipment commissioning

Role Requirements: Developing Project Engineer

-You will ideally be a graduate calibre engineer, mechanical , chemical, or electrical bias, with experience from ideally within the FMCG, process manufacturing or Consumer Goods

-The ideal candidate will be a methodical and detailed worker, extremely achievement and career focused and able to be working in a direct and often pressurised environment

-Identifying and managing project blockers before a critical path is affected

-Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering backgrounds will be considered, ideally in a regulated environment , from volume manufacturing

-Experience developing technical engineering solutions in automated environments

-An experienced Project Engineer from manufacturing is ideal, ideally FMCG

Qualifications and Experience - Developing Project Engineer

Candidates who are currently a Graduate Engineer, Project Engineer, Mechancial Project Engineer, Project support Engineer, Chemcial Engineer and any equivalent background will be suitable for the role.
