Sourcing Buyer (12 Month Contract)

West Midlands (Hybrid)

Grafton Recruitment are working with a large global manufacturing organisation to appoint an experienced sourcing specialist from a technical manufacturing background on a 12 month contract basis.

You will be responsible for identifying sources of supply internationally for components used in new and updated products in the range, building the bill of materials, and setting up contracts with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Implementing sourcing strategy
• Ensuring quality levels & on time delivery
• Negotiating terms & conditions, and contracts with suppliers
• Negotiating and securing product capacity in the supply chain
• Analysing and reporting on supplier performance, and commodity pricing movement.
• Managing product allocation with suppliers and escalating shortages.
• Managing design changes with suppliers and internally.

Requirements

• Price and contract negotiation
• Sourcing and New Product Introduction experience
• Knowledge of ERP systems and strong Excel skills
• Experience in RFQ/RFP process along with contract knowledge
