The opportunity
This is a varied and rewarding role, supporting the Programme Director in the design and delivery of the Openwork Business School management and professional development programmes throughout the Partnership. You will also contribute to the Openwork Partnership’s vision to be recognised as a leader in the development of a qualified and capable community of financial advice professionals across the UK
This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in our Swindon office.

Key Accountabilities
- Support the development of training programmes (including digitisation) to meet Partnership objectives
- Support the annual training and development needs assessment in conjunction with L&D BP.
- Deliver effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
- Train Firm Principals and their people in professional and management skills
- Train managers, supervisors and colleagues in professional and management skills
- Organise and facilitate employee development and training events.
- Develop and maintain organizational communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
- Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
- Identify and support the modification of programmes as needed.
- Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Work effectively as a team member with other members of the OBS
- Contribute to the development in approaches to learning and development within the OBS including supporting the development of an internal accreditation programme
What will you need to succeed?
- Degree level education or equivalent experience in a training or L&D role
- Membership of a relevant Professional Body
- In-depth understanding of learning and development within a Professional Services environment
- Experience of working in a partnership-type environment and the challenges in delivering to a network comprising Partnerships and HO an advantage
- Knowledge of implementing apprenticeship schemes an advantage with a creative mindset to explore alternative methods to maximise resources and impact
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- Aptness to design and implement effective training and development interventions
- Capacity to evaluate the effectiveness of learning and training interventions and effect improvement where appropriate
