Job description

We’re looking for an exceptional E-Commerce Manager to drive our online sales strategy and the performance of joanieclothing(dot)com.

Working alongside a friendly, passionate team and reporting to the Head of Ecommerce & Marketing, the Ecommerce Manager will assist the senior leadership team in devising weekly sales targets, reporting on performance and managing operational partners to support the ecommerce function.

Suitable applicants will have a customer-centric approach with proven experience in planning and executing the trading strategy for an online brand. We’re looking for someone data-driven with a keen interest in keeping up-to-date with the latest technology and functionality within e-commerce. An innovator and change-maker, the Ecommerce Manager’s main goal is to create a best-in-class online buying experience for our customers.

This is a hybrid role, offering some opportunity to work from home, if desired, upon completion of a successful induction period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the relationship with our external web development agency to plan new functionality and deploy updates and changes, liaising with our couriers and warehouse partner to ensure smooth operations, and working closely with our CRO agency on A/B testing and user research to make site improvements.
• Support the Head of Ecommerce & Marketing and work alongside our Marketing Manager and Creative Manager in planning product launches, collaborations, promotions and campaigns, devising sales targets in line with our strategy to support the brand’s goals.
• Own site content, planning and briefing the graphics required, as well as ensuring content is regularly updated and products are merchandised to maximise sales.
• Collaboration across departments is key within this role, so we’re looking for a real team player who can work alongside others, with plenty of initiative and is assertive in putting forward ideas.
• Collaborate with other team members to produce a Weekly Trade Report, which you will present to the team and share with our Directors. 

Skills & Experience

Required:

• At least 5 years’ ecommerce experience, ideally within a clothing/lifestyle brand
• Experience working with ecommerce platforms
• Confident communication – ideally with experience in leading a team
• Reporting and analytics skills
• Ability to work with and set relevant KPIs to demonstrate success
• An eye for detail and accuracy

Desirable:

• Magento experience
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for on-site copy
• Interests in fashion and sustainability
• Working knowledge of GA4
• Experience working with operational partners such as couriers and warehouse teams
• Knowledge of Customer Service processes and software
• Relevant degree or qualification in Media/Communication, Computer Sciences, Business or Marketing
• Someone with management experience is desired, as you’ll be looking after three direct reports: an Ecommerce Executive, Content Coordinator and Customer Service Advisor.
