Job description

Terms: 37 hours per week over 39 weeks per annum

We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual in the position of Behaviour Lead based at Plymstock School. This talented individual will be required to manage and continue to develop our caring and supportive learning environment for our young people, including the school vision of "Achieving Excellence through Curriculum and Culture".

The post holder will lead and manage the School's day-to-day behaviour processes, practices and resources, which includes; the behaviour team, the behaviour rooms, behaviour systems, and the preparation of behaviour management information and monitoring data to identify trends. The post holder is expected to proactively provide solutions and suggestions for improving behaviour management across the School.

The focus of this post is to complement the professional work of all staff, including the Senior Leadership Team, teachers and non-teaching support staff by having oversight for implementing the school's Behaviour Policy. The Behaviour Leader will strive to improve the behaviour and habits of identified pupils whose behaviour is a barrier to their learning, through systematic interventions.

The post holder will lead on identifying pupils with behaviour as a barrier to learning and work with them and their families to improve their behaviour at school.
