This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fashion Museum within Heritage Services, part of Bath & North East Somerset Council.

Bath & North East Somerset lies between the Cotswold and Mendip areas of outstanding natural beauty. The city of Bath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built around Britain’s only thermal springs.

Heritage Services runs the Roman Baths & Pump Room, the Fashion Museum, Victoria Art Gallery, and Bath Record Office. The collections at the Roman Baths, Fashion Museum and Bath Record Office are Designated by government as being nationally / internationally important.

The Fashion Museum has been closed since October 2023 and the service is now embarking on a major project to create a new Fashion Museum in Bath city centre and a Fashion Collection Archive co-located at Bath Spa University’s Locksbrook campus. There is more information about the project here:

This is a varied role that involves supporting the Fashion Museum team with the administrative work to deliver one of the most significant capital projects in the country. The role will require the applicant to have strong administration skills, excellent data management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and manage a varied workload. Communications skills and an aptitude to be self-motivated are also key requirements to fulfil this role. The successful applicant will need to be flexible, proactive, calm, and empathetic.
