Job description

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Liaise with all stakeholders to complete the student registration process in line with internal procedures, ensuring that all required documentation is completed efficiently and accurately.

- Provide IAG to students and employers throughout their programme, ensuring that all students are aware of Careers Information Advice and Guidance and Wellbeing available to them to support their progress.

- Plan and prepare students for work-based assessments ensuring requirements and standards can be met.

- Develop materials on the centre electronic platforms

- Organise and plan assessment opportunities and regular review meetings with learners and employers to set and review targets and progress and ensure constructive feedback that is developmental is documented and provided to support student progress.

- Carry out assessment activities in the required locations. Plan, record, and schedule assessments and ensure fair access to equality of opportunity in assessment for all students.

- Manage timescales and be clear in setting and agreeing objectives and deadlines, monitoring learning outcomes and achievement.

- Ensure that employers know their roles and responsibilities in the collaborative relationship to support the progress of the student.

- Contribute to the personal development of the students and to observe procedures for student monitoring, discipline, and complaints in accordance with internal policies.

- Follow all centre processes relating to quality assurance, qualifications, and examinations, including registration and submissions to validating bodies, liaison with the Exams Officer, moderators, and external verifiers in accordance with internal Policy and awarding bodies.

- Provide regular and timely feedback to students as identified in the internal policies, and to give group and individual tutorial support to enable students to achieve maximum benefit from their programme of study.

- Work with employers and to liaise with colleagues with regards to work-based assessments

- Compile and maintain course and student records and associated administration.

- Liaise with employers and other agencies with respect of student observations, course and assignment design, career, and higher education opportunities.

- Complete continuing professional development every year or pro rata equivalent subject to a minimum of six hours.

- Maintain a record of the CPD undertaken and make that record available

- Attend external courses and conferences as relevant to the work of the Programme.

- Co-operate with the Centre in order to ensure own health and safety and that of students and colleagues.

- Keep up to date, and comply with the relevant Centre’s Policies, including: Health & Safety; Safeguarding; Prevent; Data Protection Policy, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.

Where applicable, the job holder must warrant their entitlement or the right to work in the United Kingdom without any additional approvals and to notify the Centre immediately if this right or entitlement is ceased during their employment with the Centre.

An enhanced check of the Disclosure and Barring Service’s (DBS) children’s and adults’ barred lists is mandatory for this role.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, but not required.
