The housing client I am representing is a part of the community within the Not For Profit and Charities sector in Salford. Job Description
The key responsibilities of a Finance Manager include, but may not be limited to:
- Working closely with the Finance Director to deliver monthly management accounts with commentary on variance analysis to inform decision making.
- Leading on the finance partnering function and to aid in understanding what is driving external activity and improving value for money.
- Providing reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and other transactional processes in the month end process.
- Posting journals for payroll - making sure all journals are complete and accurate for general ledger and financial reporting.
- Building and maintaining collaborative and effective relationships internally and externally to the business to aid in the understanding drivers
- Leading on the budget setting process and financial modelling.
- Supporting budget holders to develop vigorous budgets.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting budget holders with scenario planning and financial modelling.
The Successful Applicant
The successful a Finance Manager should possess:
- Not For Profit and Charities background or Housing experience.
- AAT Qualification/ Degree equivalent or relevant experience with experience of writing and explaining commentary on key variances.
- Experience with guiding or managing a team
- An effective communicator who is able to provide financial guidance at all levels.
- Exceptional IT skills - experience with VLOOKUP's, Sumifs, Pivot Tables highly desirable.
- The ability to form and maintain positive relationships with a wide spectrum of people.
- Ability to commute to Salford.
