JOB DESCRIPTION
Part-time Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a 18 year old girl living in the Pontypridd area with my family. I love wedding dresses, high heels and sparkly stuff. One of my favourite television programmes to watch is ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ and would love to go to a bridal shop one day. I would like to go to the cinema as well. One of my favourite films is ‘Frozen’, I love Elsa and Anna. I like to visit pet shops and garden centres as I love animals, some of my favourite animals are rabbits and horses. I like to bake cakes in my spare time so support when cooking would be ideal. I am non-verbal as a consequence of my Epilepsy however the doctors hope that this will be temporary. I am also a wheelchair user but my wheelchair can easily be folded up and put in the boot of your car. PURPOSE OF JOB I require support in the community who engage well with me. Also to provide my family with respite. I need a PA to assist with the school run as well. HOURS OF WORK 8 hours a week to be worked as double handed (in-conjunction with another PA) Week day hours mostly worked 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Hours may be flexible and can be discussed at interview stage. RATES OF PAY £12.20 per hour 40p per mile where applicable TASKS INVOLVED v Toileting needs v Take me for food v Social outings v Community activities v Shopping v Support with school run v Any other reasonable task TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED v Female due to personal care v Punctual v Considerate and Caring v Friendly and will engage well with me v Proactive v Car driver ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence.
