Job description

We are looking to appoint a Pastoral Support Officer / Worker for 37 hours per week,

on a term time only basis to join our team at The Compass Academy on a fixed term

basis until 31 August 2025.

The Compass Academy is an Alternative Provision which supports pupils with

complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties and/or identified special

educational needs. This role will support the welfare and progress of students in their

learning, behaviour and transitions as well as lead on pastoral support to pupils,

providing advice and guidance and implementing agreed plans to encourage

learning and overcome barriers to learning. The post holder will work with students in

school who are experiencing complex emotionally demanding situations due to

outside influences, requiring sensitivity.
