Wright Brothers IndustrialServicesare looking for aDesign Engineer and Draughtsperson Apprenticeto complete a Level 3Engineering Technicianapprenticeship to join their team. The successful candidate will spend the first 24-months of the role seconded to various departments within the business gaining a full working knowledge of how our various engineering departments work and the processes and procedures within the company. This will include site work (steel erecting/mechanical fitting), pre-assembly in our workshop, Fabricating (welder/plater disciplines) in our Fabrication Workshop, gaining valuable knowledge of what is required to produce accurate designs for our vastly diverse projects.
Role & responsibilities:
Engineering Design is a very highly skilled technical role that requires you to work within a multidisciplinary design team, designing a wide range of mechanical and Structural installations. Our Apprenticeship Programme will acquire you with new skills and gain knowledge of the following:

Things to consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
