2nd Line Support Engineer
Location – Halesowen – hybrid – 2/3 days WFH
Salary - £25,000 to £28,000 p.a. base salary (DOE)

A fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Engineer (2 nd Line) to join a well-established Managed Services Provider near Halesowen has arisen.
This position has arisen due to internal growth and increased demand for project-related work. The role will offer a mixture of responsibilities across their Cloud, Managed Services and Business Systems support offering.
Duties involved:
- To provide 2nd line technical support to a diverse array of clients via telephone and remote support solutions
- To take ownership of problems from logging, prioritising through to resolution
- To be proactive when dealing with user issues keeping the client updated on the status of their support query
- To log and action issues identified by proactive monitoring
- To support and maintain all levels of appropriate documentation
- Work with the 3rd line team to progress tickets outside of the 2nd level
Essential Experience needed:
- Previous Experience working in a role providing 2nd line server, network desktop support
- Good knowledge of Active Directory
- Administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365
- Preferably some Server, Storage and Networking knowledge
- Exposure to Microsoft-based server operating systems with an emphasis on Windows Server 2012, 2016 & 2019
- Understanding of Firewalls & routers
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft-based desktop operating system Windows 8/10
- VoIP Telephony exposure would be helpful
Package / further role details
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. 45 minutes break.
- Starting salary of upto £28,000 per annum
- Hybrid-based (weekly rotation)
- Week 1 – Mon & Tue office, Wed–Fri at home
- Week 2 – Mon-Wed at home, Thur & Fri from office
