Teaching Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently one of the UK's leading Education Supply Agencies, we are continuously growing and working with numerous Schools across the UK.

We are currently working closely with a Secondary Provision in Huddersfield (HD5). The School has 10 children on roll and is looking to expand their team of support staff. The School recently opened in May 2023. If you're a graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant looking to change the lives of vulnerable children aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, please send an email today. This is a full-time psoition (Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm)

Main Duties:
- Supporting small groups of children in the classroom (max 5-6)
- Assist the Class Teacher with lessons and resources
- Leading 1-1 and small groups of interventions
- Supervise children during their lunch and break times
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are adhered to at all times and report incidents appropriately

Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
- Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
- Have an overseas criminal clearance or willing to apply for one
- Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
- Minimum of three months UK residency
- We do not accept those on skilled worker visas
- Please ensure you have references available upon request covering the last 24 months of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
