About us:

Pulse is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist specializing in Intermediate Care to join our dynamic healthcare team in Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to make a significant impact in the

field of occupational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their occupational therapy needs within the Intermediate Care setting.

  2. Treatment Planning: Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients, promoting independence and improving their overall quality of life.

  3. Collaboration: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including nurses, physiotherapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

  4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress notes, in accordance with professional and organizational standards.

  5. Patient Education: Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers to enhance their understanding of occupational therapy interventions and promote long-term well-being.

  6. Continuous Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest advancements in occupational therapy and participate in relevant training and development opportunities.

  7. Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring high standards of clinical practice and patient safety.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  2. HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  3. Proven experience at Band 6 level in a similar Intermediate Care setting.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  7. Commitment to continuous professional development.
