The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of an Industrial supplier with offices in Milton Keynes
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Team Leader, you will be a part of the Financial Accounting team providing reporting, analysis and statutory reporting for the UK based businesses, holding companies and European subsidiaries. Theyare looking for someone with an eye for detail, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including intermediate excel and the ability to interact with internal and external associates with ease and is also studying AAT level 4
Day to day duties will consist of:
- Payroll processing and preparation, along with other payroll related costs for 2x UK based entities & 2x EU based entities (max 30 employees in each).
- Month end processes - Payroll control account reconciliations and Payroll related Accruals & Prepayments.
- Headcount reporting and maintaining data to assist with budget and forecast.
- VAT related tasks for the respective entities.
- Assist with annual Audit requirements for respective entities.
- Take charge of your personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with the company's core competencies and learning and development framework.
- Observe Health & Safety policy and procedures.
- Bank reconciliations.

- An ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and motivation is necessary.
- Being well organised and reliable will be important factors in being successful in this role.
- A thorough detailed and disciplined style is vital with the ability to evaluate logical and detailed data.
- Adaptability to new challenges and changes.
- Good standard of education, GCSE English and Maths particularly A-C grade (or equivalent).
- Flexibility to working hours at peak time such as payroll or month end.

- AAT level 4 studier

Salary and Benefits
Role of an Accounts Assistant in Milton Keynes is paying a Salary of £35,000 - dependant on experience. Hybrid working, 2 days in the office 3 days at home. 25 days holiday a year, increasing with length of service up to 30 days, with the option to flex up/down 5 days, Life Assurance of 4 times salary, Gym membership discounts and loads more.
