Job description
Embark on an exciting journey with TUI, as the Trading Executive for our award-winning River Cruise product!
With direction provided by your manager the focus will be to analyse holiday sales data trends and take appropriate pricing actions to maximise our profits and minimise risk as a company. It’s all about ensuring the right price and holiday is available to our customers at the right time.
The TUI River Cruises team is made up of small, multi-functional teams with the experience and knowledge to help design, adapt and deliver holidays, which we do with the assistance of our colleagues in the wider TUI business.
Our head office is based in Luton, but at TUI we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements for this role and the successful candidate will work a blend of office and home-working.

ABOUT THE JOB
- Working within a fast-paced team environment responsible for TUI River Cruises fleet & related flights; striving to optimise sales, profitability and maximise flight, ship and itinerary performance, in order to hit key performance indicators.
- Creating and analysing data reports to identify booking trends for TUI River Cruises to enable informed decisions about pricing
- Constantly monitoring and reacting to demand in the competitive holiday market, making relevant pricing decisions to maximise opportunities and manage risk.
- Monitor our Beds to seats position, Cabin uptakes, Flight only sales, Cruise only sales and Cruise & Stay sales with a view to managing seat durations and prices accordingly.
- Making decisions that will directly drive the price and promotional offering to our customers and ultimately feed into the overall financial performance of TUI River Cruises.
- Using yield systems to make price changes that will deliver results in line with set business goals.
- Ensuring prices and promotional offers are effectively communicated to all distribution channels.
- Effectively build strong internal relationships with key stakeholders across the UK Cruise, Commercial, Distribution, Finance and other business areas
- Monitor systems availability for our product highlighting any potential barriers to sales.
- Dealing with customer queries, via our Contact Centre colleagues, to ensure moment makers.
ABOUT YOU
- Good commercial acumen, numeracy, and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Team player who can build strong relationships with colleagues
- Understanding of TUI customers and product range
- Strong initiative with ability to deliver both working on own and in a team
- Proactive, curious, and driven to learn
- Confident and ability to work under pressure
- Highly organised with a flexible approach to working within a fast changing, fast moving environment
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- PC Literate including Powerpoint and Excel
