Job description
Rotheram Carrington Recruitment Group are working on behalf of their Client, a well-established services business based in Chester in the recruitment of a Finance Business Analyst. This role will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to deliver post Go Live support to the Finance Team and wider business on new accounting software. Assist the Group Financial Controller to deliver phase 2 of the project, which will include the integration of a number of sales platforms and working with the People department on the integration of new payroll system.
Develop business reporting culture across the group by improving the quality and availability of commercial metrics and accuracy of data. Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand key requirements and work with them and the finance team to develop reporting which meets requirements.
Key duties will include:
- Systems implementation project management
- Lead post go-live process improvements
- Lead internal project relationships
- Business partner with the SMT, Finance Team, and externally with the IT provider to improve process efficiencies and resolve data issues quickly.
- Be a system super user to transition knowledge and complete end-user training
- Ensure that all employees have an appropriate level of training and awareness as they change role or join the business
- Leading process and data improvements and documentation
- Working closely with the Group FC to design new reports for finance and the wider business, including dashboards for finance team, CFO, CEO and the Board
- Create a process manual.
- Work with current Business Analyst and key stakeholders within the business to develop reporting solutions that will look for trends and present key data.
- Lead systems-related culture transformation
- Set-up and train new users
- Work closely with People Department to integrate new payroll system into new system
Skills/Experience
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA or Qualified by Experience
- Ability to work with non-finance colleagues as a business partner, communicating financial concepts in a relatable way
- Ability to communicate effectively at this level.
- Able to manage varying stakeholder groups effectively – communicating at the right level and right intervals to maintain project credibility
- Able to credibly and professionally challenge and steer decision making in line with key milestones
- Extremely thorough and conscientious with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working to deadlines and targets
- Ability to take ownership of a project and see it through to completion
Salary/Benefits
- £35,000 to £55,000 per annum
- Hybrid working – at the start of the project ideally to be on site more often, just to understand the project and build relationships with key stakeholder
- Must be within an hours commute of Chester
