I am working with a medium sized main contractor that work on new build and refurbishment schemes from £50k - £2M. Their existing commercial department is made up of a number of Contract Surveyors and Estimators, and the team are now seeking a Commercial Assistant, to join them and work as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and Estimator...
As a commercial assistant you will find yourself working alongside and supporting a well established commercial team across these new build and refurbishment projects. You will play a key part in the successful organisation of the department to ensure all documentation is up to date and all sub contractor payments are kept on top of. Your day to day duties will include:
* Data input
* Invoice chasing
* Client interaction
* Document organisation
* Invoice & enquiry processing
* Sub contract ordering processing
We are looking to talk to candidates who:
* Possess strong IT skills - specifically MS Office
* Are a great communicator across different departments including external clients
* Have a keen eye for detail
* Can work to strict deadlines
* Have worked in a similar role within the construction industry
