Job description
Learning Managers at QES and QEStudio play an invaluable role in supporting the work of teaching and learning and providing stability and continuity for students in the absence of teaching staff.
We are seeking applications from those with an excellent background in teaching as well as a highly flexible and adaptable approach who are able to supervise classes across a wide variety of ages, subjects and abilities - often all on the same day!
If a role that is varied, busy and fast-paced sounds like something you would thrive on, we want to hear from you. We would welcome applications from those interested in working on a full or part time basis during term time only.
Ideally we are seeking someone with a teaching related qualification together with a strong academic background, who is passionate about teaching and learning plus a flexible, adaptable and resourceful approach.
QES and QEStudio border the Lakes and Dales but is surprisingly well-connected, for over 400 years we have forged a strong community ethos providing ‘Scholarship and Care’. We’re immensely proud of our commitment to the highest quality teaching and learning coupled with extraordinary pastoral care. We are a truly comprehensive community in which every child is cared for, supported and stretched, moving on to diverse destinations, from local apprenticeships and college courses to highly selective universities.
Building on our long successful history, we launched our sister school in September 2017 creating a small multi-academy trust of our 2 schools, the Lunesdale Learning Trust.
Applications are welcomed from well-qualified and highly motivated individuals who are keen to work with remarkable young people providing an exceptional education for all.
If you wish to apply, please complete all sections of the application form by Friday 15th March. In your supporting statement we would like you to include:
• a statement as to why this particular job appeals to you.
• an outline of your relevant experience
• a discussion of the personal and professional qualities which you believe suit you for this post
We would encourage all potential applicants to read the attached documents and to browse our websites to get a fuller flavour of life at this very special place.
We do hope you will take the time to apply. This is a marvellous place to work and this is a very exciting opportunity. If you require further information or wish to discuss any issues, please do feel free to get in touch on 015242 71275. In the meantime, good luck with your application. We look forward to meeting you in the near future.
