Position Summary :
To efficiently and professionally support the Company’s HR Function in line with key business objectives,
helping to make the HR Department a highly cost-effective, valued, and well-regarded resource for managers, employees and associates alike. This role will be based in Inchinnan but will support other sites and divisions across the UK North region, as required.
Responsibilities:
Provide a dedicated HR advisory service for a range of employment and employee relations matters including conduct and capability, grievance and disciplinary matters, absence and health issues, and family friendly policies.
Provide advice, support, coaching and feedback to managers on talent management activities including performance management; training and development; organisational capability assessment; change programmes
Support and participate in investigation and disciplinary processes and recommend appropriate action.
Completion of monthly payroll’s for the sites.
Responsible for carrying out New Manager Assimilations and Manager 360 Feedback.
Support administratively during large project deployments- including taking minutes, actions and maintaining project trackers
Liaise with the companies HR Colleague Service Center regarding maintenance of KPI’s, background screening management, and fleet queries.
Deliver HR Inductions on site as required
Support managers & the Field HR in annual compensation planning activities
Prepare HR Management Information to gain greater insight into the trends and to support continuous improvement in the management and monitoring of sickness absence, performance, retention etc. Pro-actively provide appropriate recommendations to line managers to address identified issues.
Provide advice to Managers in relation to Occupational Health and collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety on employee safety matters as necessary.
Actively participate in region, division, and country HR Meetings and projects to share best practices and contribute to the improvement and development of UK wide HR policies, processes and harmonization activity.
Support with activities that promote and maintain a culture of diversity, inclusion and customer excellence across the UK sites.
Effectively perform your duties whilst acting at all times in accordance with the Dignity at Work Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and our values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.
Any other duties as required from time to time, commensurate with the post-holder’s abilities, experience and authorities.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Proven generalist HR experience at advisor level
Advanced excel and work skills (Vlook-up’s, mail merges in word and email)
Understanding and practical application of UK Employment legislative framework
Evidence proven experience in HR processes and procedures, e.g. Performance management, leavers, absence management etc
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent
Ability to navigate complex matrix structure organisational relationships. Confident in collaborating and Stakeholder engagement and communication
Travel to other Thermo Fisher Scientific sites may be required within the UK.
