Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for you to use your talent within our Parks Service where you will performing a range of horticultural and grounds maintenance. This would include grass cutting within the public realm.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining Parks and open space throughout Luton to a specified and agreed standard. Undertaking a range of horticultural and/or grounds maintenance and/or Sports turf duties.

The ability to use your initiative is expected to achieve the specified standards and to ensure that the various targets and deadlines are met.

About you
You’ll need experience of using grass-cutting machinery and some gardening experience. Being a team player is very important as well as working alone being able to use your initiative and make good judgement calls.

You will need to be polite and deal with a wide range of people tactfully. It is important you are able to follow verbal and written instructions.

We do ask that you are able to walk across often-uneven ground whilst performing this role and have a current valid category B driving license. This is to be able to operate ride on machinery and to transport staff and equipment to various sites.

This is a public facing role so you will need to show off your ability in speaking English fluently
