Our client is a leading specialist in reverse logistics for electronics retailers, manufacturers and insurance providers, with multiple sites across the UK and Europe. They provide an end-to-end service offering for a wide range of consumer electronics, including laptops, TVs, displays, mobile and gaming devices, as well as home appliances. All designed to increase efficiencies and maximise the full life value of your products.
Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of receiving Goods. Receive components and match to jobs. Raise GRN’s for incoming stock
- Update the relevant control system in a timely fashion to ensure that details stock accurately reflect the current situation.
- Loading and unloading goods from various transport
- Issue components to Engineers, received returns
- Assist Engineers, Customer Services and Account Department with any stock/price or suppliers’ issues that arise, reporting any discrepancies to the material Team Leader.
- Return faulty/used parts to suppliers as instructed to the required suppliers’ instructions.
- On a daily basis chase all overdue returned stock and update the relevant control system accordingly.
- Ensure that the purchase orders are raised, approved by the appropriate person and placed with the suppliers.
- Compile and update Stock Reports.
- Perform Stock Checks.
- Sourcing of reliable and cost-effective suppliers.
- Sourcing of parts for large variety of products against spend limits and TAT’s.
- Updating ETA’s, chasing of outstanding parts.
- Reporting of faulty/incorrect goods received, to the supplier’s specific requests.
- Warranty reporting for customers, parts ordering under warranty & parts return.
- Updating live work instructions as and when a process changes/evolves.
- Support for team leader, assisting with annual and monthly reporting.
- Support for booking in team, assisting with issues they may have.
- Be aware of, and work to, all Health and Safety procedures
- At all times operate within the procedures laid down in the Company’s Operational Procedures Manual
- Pay due diligence to all aspects of health and safety when operating packing and transportation equipment.
Skills and Experience Required
- Numeracy and literacy
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office package, in particular Excel
- Engineering Procurement Knowledge advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure and to produce quality results within agreed timescales.
- Be smart and well presented in general appearance.
- Good grasp of written and verbal English.
- Ability to communicate well with external customers
