Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a prestigious and distinguished firm of Chartered Accountants in Okehampton,Devon who are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Business Services team.

As an Accounts Senior, you will have responsibility for your own client portfolio from the outset with a view to developing and growing this as you progress with the firm.

The role will predominantly consist of providing Accounting and Tax compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients including limited companies (both Audit and Audit exempt clients), sole traders, and partnerships. The workload will involve the preparation and review of both statutory and management accounts as well as tax compliance work completed for your clients.

This role offers the successful individual an excellent level of responsibility and autonomy as you will have responsibility for their own portfolio of clients as well as being involved in the supervision and development of junior members of the team and getting involved with aspects of tax planning.

Due to the fact that maintaining and building client relationships is a key aspect of the position, a personable and professional manner are a pre-requisite. Previous experience of managing your own client portfolio is beneficial.

The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified and will have relevant experience of working in practice with strong knowledge of financial reporting standards.
