Job description

A very exciting opportunity has become available for a Qualified Dispensing Optician on a full or part time (4-days), permanent basis with a well-established group of independent opticians. This role is based between two of their practices in the Gloucester area.
I am recruiting currently for a very well-established optical company who have an opening due to an increase in demand and store development.

Basic salary – up to £28,000 pro rata
Sociable hours – 9:00-5:30
Flexibility on Saturdays
Traditional independent with a relaxed pace

This independent high street opticians, who have a fantastic reputation for their high-quality service, friendly enthusiastic team and patient focus being priority are looking to add to their team by recruiting a Qualified Dispensing Optician to join one of their practices.

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

The ideal candidate will have had experience as a Qualified Dispensing Optician and can competently work to their own initiative. What is also important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients, while getting involved in the day-to-day tasks of the store whether that be dispensing, stock taking, answering calls or dealing with problems.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

At least 1 years of experience as a Qualified Dispensing Optician ideally within a busy practice.
The ability to dispense to all levels.
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

For your efforts a competitive salary is on offer depending on experience (up to 28k).
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment, potential opportunity prospects are available for the right person.

Working 4 or 5 days 9:00-5:30
No Sundays or Bank holidays
Joining a relaxed independent
