The Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join the Digital & Computing team which involves the marketing, delivery and assessment of a range of courses across the Digital curriculum from BTEC Level 1 to 3 which includes IT, Games and Esports. The role can also include delivery of HNC/D following Computer for England Technical Pathway. The role will include supporting in effectively preparing for T Level programme delivery with some course leadership and internal verification responsibilities.
Suitable applicants must possess a relevant Degree or equivalent qualification to at least Level 6, a Teaching Qualification to the required national standards, a Level 2 qualification in English, Mathematics and ITQ or a willingness to work towards the qualifications in a timely manner are essential requirements for this role.
Successful applicants will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an FE environment.
Main Duties for this role include: • To plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning.
• To deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.
• To assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
• To use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners’ experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.
• To support learners’ progress through personal tutoring and parent/careers evenings to help learners achieve their full potential and progress appropriately.
