Job description
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Endoscopy Department as a Booking Coordinator.
The post-holder will effectively manage and take an active role in the continual development of the waiting list administration service, ensuring that capacity is fully utilised across the service; ensure that 18 Week RTT and 2 WW cancer procedures and policies are adhered to and that the performance targets for the department are met, in line with Trust and JAG objectives. You will also be responsible for managing the smooth operation of department waiting lists, including both active and planned waiters in relation to national and Trust waiting times.

• The post holder will ensure that the administration and coordination of the planned and
active waiting lists in the Trust is carried out to the highest standard, in a consistent and timely manner.
• The post holder will ensure that the processes in place fully support modernisation initiatives, for example the integration of Flexible Sigmoidoscopy Screening Programme.
• The post holder will liaise with health care professionals, managers and other administration staff both within and outside the organisation, patients and relatives.
• To assist in the day-to-day management of the reception staff.
• To assist the Clinical Nurse Manager in the training and development of reception staff within the department within the framework of their Personal Development Plans.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services, including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.
