As our Principal Engineer you will join our incredible Electrical team sitting within our Engineering department. In this role you will be tasked with leading all vehicle thermal management systems from engineering development through to series production.
While this role is primarily remote, occasional visits to our site in Warwick may be needed.
We would like you to:
- Lead the development and delivery of all vehicle thermal systems including cabin comfort/HVAC, powertrain cooling, and battery thermal management
- Own overall responsibility for the specification, design, and validation of the vehicle thermal systems
- Grow and lead a team of engineers to support thermal system development and delivery
- Work with other engineering teams to ensure that all integration requirements are met for the system components
- Contribute to all aspects of the development life-cycle including requirements, regulatory standards, attribute definition, FMEA, and DVP
- Work hands-on with prototype vehicles and drive simulation activities during the development programme to ensure that the vehicle meets its attribute targets and functionality at all build and test phases
We would like you to have:
- Proven experience in automotive HVAC and thermal management systems
- Experience in an OEM or Tier 1 managing the thermal systems engineering and leading the team
- Hands-on approach to engineering, practical and enthusiastic
- Strong team and interpersonal skills, cross cultural understanding, organizing and coordinating ability
- Ability to drive and complete tasks independently, task oriented and high attention to detail
- Ability to work in a complex and ambiguous environment
