Job description
Overview
Our client imports oriental snacks from Asia which are packed in bulk cartons. They sell products to customers who are active as wholesalers, re-packers and Foodservice.
Salary: Up to £45,000
The Person
The candidate will be based in Kent and reports to the UK Sales Manager based. He/she works closely with our B2B back office, Procurement, Marketing, Quality Department which are all located in The Netherlands. He or she will also travel to the Netherlands on a regular basis for meetings.
- Sales experience in a similar role, (max. 2 – 5 years), with experience in the food B-2-B industry
- Open-minded, motivated and enthusiastic
- Have a good understanding of MS office
- Able and willing to travel to our customer locations within the UK
- Ability to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
- Excellent listening skills with negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The Role
- Proactively finding and searching for new prospects
- Proactively generate new sales via prospects
- Identify key decision makers in the client’s business and ensure they know who the business is and what they have to offer
- Identify and develop potential relationships with target clients through phone calls and personal visits
- Managing new accounts and building strong relationships, to boost sales
- Forecasting
- Keep being well informed of the latest developments for the industry that may impact work and clients, distribute this information to the wider team.
