About the opportunity -
An opportunity is now available for a Concept Engineers to join us a world leading brand in luxury cars based in Crewe, UK. You will be an integral part of the creative process behind some of the world's most well-regarded luxury vehicles.
As the Concept Engineer you will generate and develop innovative concept proposals and package environments for cockpit and seating zones to meet future legislative, customer and company requirements, and you will create and maintain parametric primary hard points within CATIA environment for cockpit and seating zones, with ownership of cross functional review and feasibility of primary hard points.
Job details
- Pay rate - £34.88 per hour.
- Location - Crewe, CW1 3PL
- Type of role - Hybrid, temporary
- Role duration - until January 2025, possibility of extension based on performance.
- Hours - 35-40hrs per week
- Working hours - 9am - 5:30pm core hours, remaining hours are flexible.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience within the Automotive Industry or related industries within vehicle architecture / packaging roles
- Experience of concept development process and maturation through delivery and launch.
- Experience & knowledge of cockpit relevant systems (Instrument panel, Centre console, Seating)
- Strong influencing skills and communication, with a commitment to building positive relationships with other functions, and Group as an outward facing expert.
- Ability to share technical knowledge effectively with others.
- Demonstrable knowledge applicable to the technology areas in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Understanding and application of all required sign off legislative and environmental requirements.
- Demonstrable knowledge and application of problem-solving tools and skills.
- CATIA V5 CAD system trained and proficient - fundamentals, assembly, kinematics, surfacing, CAVA disciplines
- Microsoft office proficient - Outlook, Excel, Power point, Access
- Higher Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Fluent English language skills
Desirable Attributes
- Proficiency in German language would be an advantage.
- CAVA CAD tool trained.
- RAMSIS trained.
- Full UK driver's license
