Job description

BIA Skills Programme Executive

Remuneration: £28,000 for the duration of a fixed-term contract. We also welcome proposals for flexible arrangements and secondments.

Reporting to: Managing Director

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Skills Programme Executive is a key role for the BIA’s burgeoning skills agenda and workstream. We work with incredible entrepreneurs, scientists, business leaders, regulators, policy makers and advisors in a fascinating, vital and booming sector which spans global connections and the entire life sciences ecosystem in the UK. As the sector grows, so does the demand for a skilled and diverse workforce. BIA is committed to working with member companies and stakeholders to develop relevant skillsets for the sector in the UK and to ensure that the UK is an attractive prospect for international talent. 

This project-based role will provide much needed administrative support and development to the BIA’s Skills, People and Talent work and will primarily assist and support the work of the Skills, People and Talent Community Leader - acting as a key link into the broader BIA, in particular collaborating with events, marketing, and membership teams.

DELIVERING THE ROLE

Ideally this role would be delivered through a contractual approach over a set period of time, however the BIA are flexible regarding how the role could be delivered and open to offers around this.

The correct candidate is the most important element of this specification and the BIA are willing to discuss specific terms with all interested parties.
