Job description
The Quality Control Officer is responsible for the daily monitoring and finishing requirements of all outbound products and materials.
Ensure the adherence of all policies and procedures concerning quality are maintained and report all non-conformances to the Quality Superintendent.
Perform an inspection of precision components and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications using tools such as callipers, and gauges -visual inspection of products before and after operations are completed and detect any non-conformances or non-compliant parts.
Effectively communicate quality issues to the QC Superintendent for immediate correction to ensure that all products meet customer specifications.
Adhere to all quality and regulatory compliance procedures.
Conduct external supplier audits.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Data analytics skills and experience
Attention to detail.
Good time management
Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, Windows explorer)
Able to review complex design drawings and redline drawings.
Mechanical Engineer / Mining Engineer / Civil Engineer
Mining/Tunnelling/Rail/Heavy Civils background
