Prospero Teaching is looking for a behaviour mentor to join a team at an alternative provision in Bolton on a full time basis to support students with SEMH needs. The role will start off on a temporary basis but will become permanent after a probationary period. About the Role:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a behaviour mentor to support students on a 121 or in a small group basis. The students at the provision have SEMH needs and require a constant support to provide academic support as well as guidance in life choices. The students are aged 11 - 16 and the school are keen to develop the students to allow them to return to mainstream education when possible. Duties may require 1-1 support, as well as taking out intervention groups.

• Minimum rate of pay - £85 per day

Experience, Training and Qualifications for the behaviour mentor role:

• Previous experience working with SEMH students or challenging behaviour.
• A passion for working with students with SEND.
• Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
• You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude.
• Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last 12 months
• Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years
• Up to date FGM training

To be eligible for the behaviour mentor role through Prospero Teaching you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child & adult DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide a minimum of two professional child related references
