We are currently looking for a member of staff to help us deliver this excellent customer service at Newent Library as a Library Assistant include Saturday working.
Part time – 24.75 Hours per week:
Week 1: Tue: 9.30-5, Thur: 10.00-5.00; Fri: 09.30-7.00
Week 2: Mon: 1.00-7.00; Tues: 9.30-5.00; Wed: 10.00-5.00; Thurs: 10.00-5.00, Sat: 10.00-2.00

We are looking for a dynamic, positive and committed individual who will play a key role in the day to day operations and organisation of Newent Library.

How you’ll help make a difference.
Library Assistants are the public face of the Library Service, you are responsible for ensuring that our users have access to all the services that the Libraries provide this will include helping them choose and issue books, maintaining the stock in the library, helping providing activities such as baby, bounce and rhyme and the summer reading challenge. You will support springboard groups of users off all ages You’ll need to master the Library ICT systems and be able to offer basic advice on the use of computers and tablets to those who require it.
